Andrea Lekić, top scorer of WRHL talks about her performances, Krims secret weapon and her future.
Serbian international Andrea Lekić is at this moment best scorer of WRHL and amongst four top scorers of Champions League. No wonder she is one of the most wanted players by many clubs. Still, she is focused on Krim: “At the moment all my thoughts are concentrated on Krim, since I have contract for one more year here.”
After gaining important experience in last season, Andrea simply exploded:
“This season has been really great for me. I hope I will continue to improve further. In last season I managed to gather some experience and it all pays of now.”

She is satisfied with her team’s performance so far, but wants to do even more:

In the beginning of the season Krim lost many matches. But then things started to change. Andrea and her team now have lethal weapon for their opponents:
“During preparations we were concentrated on physical condition, because of that we lost many matches in the beginning of the season. After two months everything started to get better. Our defence is our most important weapon now. And also every player is capable to pull the team out of the trouble, which is also very important."

There is a special connection between Andrea and WRHL, both stars starting to shine in 2008/2009 season:
“I am very glad because of four WRHL teams entered top eight teams of Europe. This means that we play good handball here and that WRHL means quality.”

Krims top player is cautious about making predictions for the rest of the season:
“In CL Hypo will have very tough group. It is hard to predict anything. All these teams in top eight are really great teams with pretty equal qualities. Their main advantage is collective play, and that’s why they are the best.”
